Newsletter Expertise at CBC

With a full range of copywriting services on offer, CBC will produce your corporate literature and newsletters, direct mail, and website text as well as press releases and customer case studies so as to enrich your marketing collateral portfolio. Our professional writers are able to match - or create – your own company style, whether formal or informal, business-focused or technical.

Indeed, by working closely with the management and staff at The Surrey Research Park, CBC has just completed the Spring 2008 edition of The Surrey Research Park News and extended its contract to produce 3 more issues for 2008-9. These full-colour magazines are packed full of exciting news from some of the UK's most innovative companies. CBC has focused on producing interesting feature articles that include in-depth interviews with senior management, company profiles, and real-world case studies.

If you would like to receive a copy of the Surrey Research Park News, or would like to speak to us about how we could help with your own newsletter or company magazine, then feel free to contact us today. Tel: 01483 537890.

In the meantime, please see some tips on successful Newsletters from our expert team

  1. Aim for a high impact design with strong photography as this is what will first be noticed and get the best graphic designer that you can afford (and the best copywriter too!)
  2. Ensure coherency in design between your newsletter and your other company literature and brand and embed company ethos into the content
  3. Aim to produce Html and PDF versions of your newsletter and archive the PDFs on your website
  4. Build your distribution list and aim for quality rather than quantity. Allow recipients to “unsubscribe”. Review the list regularly and measure its impact
  5. A hello and intro from the MD, providing an overview in the current climate, will help manage your readers' expectations through good and bad times
  6. Get buy in from the readers – illustrate what's in it for them
  7. Include articles that associate readers with the success of the company and celebrate with them
  8. Include stories that talk about pioneering work that the company is doing and make your readers feel part of it
  9. Include an option for interaction from your audience (i.e. competition, survey etc)
  10. Include current news about the company – new joiners, new company schemes, new products, CSR initiatives, training, charity work etc
  11. Include industry news that will provide your readers with topical things to read so as to help them keep abreast of the latest trends and learn something at the same time
  12. Company newsletters play a key part in an integrated marketing campaign. Imagine the impact of receiving a sales letter on the same day that you've read about the company in the newspaper, noticed its reader offer in a magazine, and received its latest newsletter in your email inbox. The result can be very powerful!
  13. Include your contact details at least twice
  14. A regular drip, drip of news is what builds a relationship, so issue your newsletters regularly
  15. A newsletter makes a great business card, so keep copies at hand for networking events, and pitches
